What Is Penetrating Damp?
Penetrating damp has several common causes, usually involving leaks in brickwork, pipework, or guttering. When these are damaged or defective, water will penetrate the fabric of the wall until it damages brickwork and internal decorations, which is usually when occupiers notice an issue.
It can also be caused by external ground levels being above that of any existing damp proof course, enabling moisture to enter into the walls above the line of any damp proof course. When you choose our services, we will diagnose the root cause of the problem and take suitable remedial measures. We also provide calcium carbide testing to ensure you don’t have a rising damp issue.
